FORCED LANDING
Departure uneventful
Arrival anything but,
long past the
Point of no Return
we spiral.
Flight diverted
holding pattern unsustainable
hoping only for
safe descent,
arrival intact,
grounding.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we have been cleared for landing”
Fuel low, patience short,
They are not coming to save us
We are They
we always were,
Courage found in
Fear with prayer.
We are not out of the woods yet.

I wonder – if everyone realized “We are They, We always were,” just how much could be accomplished.

Thank you Denise…it is one of those things that once realized you never see the world the same way. As you say, if we all leave it to the fictional ‘They’ to take care of, we deserve what we get. 🙂 Had been feeling like humanity is in a holding pattern looking for the perfect place to land. There will never be a perfect landing spot as the photo so beautifully shows. Just land, and slowly make our way out of the ‘woods’.
